Baseball Coach Pitch
 Coaches will be given their team roster in late March and will work on setting their schedule the month of April.
Practice will typically begin May 1st.
Games will begin in Mid May and continue until the end of June.
The number and frequency of games is dependent upon each head coach.
All home games will be held either at Springfield Elementary, Springfield City Park, or Kyle Field in Westmont.
There will be away games that are played in surrounding communities fields.
Baseball
This year the SYAA is making some changes to the Jersey's your child will be wearing for their baseball season. We have eliminated the t-shirt vest combo and are going to one style jersey for all teams 9-14 years in age. The SYAA will provide your child with their first jersey. For following years they will continue to use the same jersey. Any replacement Jersey's will be the responsibility of the players' family to purchase.

Games will begin April 17th and continue until June 20th.

All Platteview teams will be playing in the Springfield Slam tournament June 11th, 12th & 13th.
We will be putting together at least three All-Star teams to play in the Iowa Nebraska All-Star Tournament held after the 4th of July. This tournament typically runs 8 to 10 days. Dates are still TBD. During our coaches meeting we will discuss how selection to this All-Star team will be conducted. If your child will be unable to play in this tournament because of vacations or other responsibilities please let your Head Coach know so that they know that he is not going to be able to be a part of the team. Generally there are two teams in an age bracket (i.e. 9-10s, 11-12s, 13-14s) and six players from each team (12 per bracket) will be chosen to be a part of the Platteview All-Stars.
All-Star team practice will begin the Week of June 20th.
